One of the most beautiful cities in the world, the heart of Renaissance, and home of the most amazing food you’ll ever enjoy!
First night upon arrival, I decided to take it slow and enjoy a lovely glass of red wine!
A visit to Florence wouldn’t be complete without seeing the masterpiece that is Michelangelo’s David so of course I had to go. Don’t miss an opportunity to see some of his other “non-finito” (unfinished) works as well, honestly I found myself more than impressed by them!
I made absolutely sure I ate every piece of pizza I could find (not to mention all the tiramisu I could take). Delicious!
I must confess I felt so guilty, I awoke at 6 AM, dreaming of a fitness instructor I have a crush on telling me that I’ve been a very bad girl! It must have been all those delicious calories getting their revenge! To atone for my sins I put my trainers on and went for a fantastic 12 kilometer run through the hills of Florence, reaching Piazza Michelangelo just in time for a perfect view of the sunrise. That exact moment was priceless. As my blood was rushing from the adrenaline and endorphins of a runner’s high, my heart was so filled with the light of the sunrise… I felt just like Goethe’s Faust! I wanted to stay in that moment forever!
